After an entirely dry January, bar a couple of Bailey's Truffle chocolates, but they don't really count do they, I ventured to Newcastle on the train with the other half to meet her brother.
The truth is I don't really have a lot to talk about regarding the experience as I wasn't noting anything much.
I remember we started in the Bacchus, which I found something of a disappointment as it felt more like a trendy wine bar than an old style real ale pub. On the plus side though, they did serve a rather deliciously refreshing Lamplight Ale ... So delicious in fact I had to sample a second!
